  1. Wind Turbine Challenge Intro to Ag Renewable Resources

  2. Your Task: • Each partnership will be given a set of materials, every group will have the same. If I find out you used additional stuff you will be DQ’d! • From your materials, design a wind energy boat. • The boat that can move down the channel, the farthest will be the winner!

  3. Task Cont… • The winner, second and third place groups will get to choose from a free homework pass, free notebook check pass and extra credit stamp! • Your boat MUST • Have a true hull • Be able to carry a 1’’ by 1’’ square amount of cargo • It should be able to travel a straight path

  4. Things to consider: • You and your partner will have 1 lab sheet to fill out together. • You will be graded by participation, design, lab sheet and distance traveled! • For full participation, your design should undergo at least two revisions!

  5. Your Materials: • 3 – 3’’ x 5’’ index cards • 1 small paper plate • 1 red plastic cup • 3 paper clips • 1 unsharpened pencil (cannot be broken) • 1 piece construction paper OR 1 brown paper bag • Unlimited: yarn, staples • 4’’ duct tape OR 5’’ scotch tape
