5. Centralize to conserve • Documents centralization and their conversion into an electronic format ensures access to Ifremer’s scientific and technical results for a very long time This centralization is especially necessary for all grey litterature and particularly for confidential documentation

Publications identification • References of Ifremer publications are exported from the WOS every week and integrated into Archimer • Only publications referenced in the WOS are considered for the indicators • Data obtained are more reliable (duplicate remove, deletion of multiple declarations for same publication)

Reports and expertises • Reports and expertises must be conserved and their production recorded (indicators) • A mandate was established • Expertises centralization and full-text mandate have allow a more reliable indicators counting (reduction of 30% compared with a counting based on departments declaration) • This system should allow the abandonment of different systems used by staff (EndNote, Access…) : It’s a productivity gain

32. Conclusion • Archimer is essential to evaluate the scientific and technical production of Ifremer • Using Archimer, a very large part of the documentation produced by Ifremer is now centralized. Its preservation is ensured. • Archimer project success is linked to its integration : with the same tool, we ensure preservation, valorization and bibliometric analysis of Ifremer documentation
