  4. ichthys • Ichthys-Fish. • Ichthyology- The scientific study of fish. • Our 8th grade science teacher studies ichthyology.

  5. Tempus • Tempus-Time, condition, season. • Temperature- The condition of weather in a location. • Our temperature was 89˚ F in New Hampshire.

  6. ergon • Ergon-Work. • Erg- the amount of work by a force. • My ergonwas 2 hours and 30 minutes at my job.

  8. Bis • Bis- Twice. • Bisect- To divide into two. • When you bisect something you are cutting it into two. • “Showbis’’

  10. multus • Multus – many • Multicultural • My family is multicultural because we have lots of foreign families.

  11. Vetus vetus- old, ancient Vertebrae- of or pertaining to bones “ Skeletons have bones; skeletons are old!” My spinal column is very vertabrae.

  12. Quercus • Quercus- oak • Quercusalba • The white oak was a quercusalba.
