Reproduction and Development • Most reproduce sexually • Internal fertilization: sperm/egg unite inside the body • Metamorphosis: process of becoming an adult in stages • Incomplete : Looks like an adult, but smaller • Sheds skin to grow • Complete: Looks different when young • Changes into a pupa where it becomes an adult

  9. Something Cool • Lived on Earth for approximately 540 million years. • The Japanese spider crab has a leg span up to 4m and can live for 100 years.
