  8. Eseridine To 5 ml of solution S add a few crystals of potassium iodate R, 0.05 ml of dilute hydrochloric acid R and 2 ml of chloroform R and shake. After 1 min, the chloroform layer is not more intensely coloured than a reference solution prepared at the same time in the same manner using 5 ml of water R instead of solution S. ASSAY Dissolve 0.5000 g in a mixture of 20 ml of anhydrous acetic acid R and 40 ml of acetic anhydride R. Titrate with 0.1M perchloric acid determining the end-point potentiometrically (2.2.20) at the first inflexion point. 1 ml of 0.1Mperchloric acid is equivalent to 64.88 mg of C30H44N6O8 S.

  9. Neostigmine Bromide (3-Hydroxyphenyl)trimethylammonium bromide Dissolve 50 mg in a mixture of 1 ml of sodium carbonate solution R and 9 ml of water R. The absorbance (2.2.25) measured immediately at 294 nm is not greater than 0.25.
