  2. In the Spring of 2011, I completed an internship in the Promotions Department at 102.3 XLC/1220 WKRS, Lake County’s #1 Contemporary Pop Music Station! I worked one on one with 102.3XLC and 1220 WKRS’s Promotions and Interactive Director, Janelle Rominski.

  3. Throughout my internship at 102.3 XLC, I mainly performed basic office duties like making phone calls, updating databases, and filing paperwork. I created “bonus codes” for loyal listeners to win cool prizes. I entered in the prize sheets from the contests callers win on the radio. I also worked remotes (events) at Libertyville Mitsubishi and Rockenbach Chevrolet where I had to interact with listeners and promote the station.

  8. Bonus Codes I updated their website and created bonus codes for loyal listeners to win prizes.

  9. 102.3 XLC Prize Sheets I dated prize sheets so the jocks could fill them out with the prize winner’s info.

  10. 102.3 XLC Prize Winners Database Once the jock filled out the prize sheet, I entered it into the Excel database.

  11. WXLC Prize Winner Sheets Once it was in the system, I attached the prize winner sheet and mailed it out.

  15. Scout Day I had to make phone calls, update the database, and prepare for Scout Day.

  16. 102.3 XLC Proposals I helped create promotions proposals for upcoming concerts

  17. WKRS Tax Day PayDay 2011 1220 WKRS and Consumers Credit Union gave listeners an opportunity to win $1,220 and match their refund with the 1220 WKRS Tax Day .

  18. Tax Day PayDay 2011 I had to enter the qualifiers into the Tax Day PayDay database.
