Utility Structure - Now and In Future • Existing Structure has Ontario Hydro as Generator & Transmitter, Local utility as distributor (ie. Toronto Hydro) • New structure has Ontario Hydro broken into 7 companies: • Generation, Transmission, Distribution, IMO, Energy Services, fibre optics, ?? • Local utilities continue to provide energy through wires • Some Local utilities also will compete in energy supply market
