What do YOU want for: Springhill Hudson’s Community Campus
Key points to remember: • 1] Springhill should be “revenue neutral” • 2] we need “economies of scale” • 3] we want to achieve a multi-generational “critical mass” of program activity and: • 4] “regional marketing” to attract visitors to Hudson

Next Steps? • Our next step is to poll YOU -- to get community reaction in front of City Council in order to make a balanced judgment -- and avoid missing what we regard as an exceptional opportunity.
The Alternatives • 1] land bank • 2] phased approach • 3] go for broke • including: • a] the ice arena • b] the hard courts and jogging track c] the performing arts center
Risk / Reward Ratio • Land banking is low risk, low cost and low reward. • Phased approach is moderate risk, moderate cost and moderate reward. • Go for broke is high cost and high reward • YOU decide!
The risks • Other communities -- starting with a lot less than we already have in the way of market and assets -- have made a success out of their community center. But it is also true that city managements have often botched the task. In HCER we have a successful management program. We have a large North East Ohio market and very little in the way of established recreation / education and cultural competition.
