To successfully clear JEE Main students should have a perfect study plan and the right strategy. Touted as one of the toughest engineering entrance examinations, JEE Main requires excessive hard work, complete dedication, utmost determination, and excellent strategy from the students. Students basically need to start preparing from their class 11th and requires perseverance and immense hard work to score well in the exam. For successfully qualifying for the JEE Main entrance exam, students will need to plan an overall strategy along with the best study material, effectively designed mock test series, previous year question papers, and a timetable to study. Clearing this exam is not an easy task and requires full passion and a complete dedication towards the preparation. However, to increase their chance of success in the exam students need to effectively plan out their studies with the right strategy. First, students should have a clear understanding of the entire Main syllabus. Besides, students should also have clarity of topics that are included from both class 11th and 12th in the Main syllabus. Checking the past few years' Main question papers will give an idea about the pattern of the question along with the weightage given to every topic. Find below important topics with weightage for JEE Main Studying the complete JEE Main syllabus is vital for students but they need to give more attention to topics that carry weightage in the JEE Main examination. An in-depth study of the last 20 years of JEE Main and AIEEE question papers revealed the important topics along with

  2. their respective weightage that is given below. Students should take this into account while preparing for JEE Main, as it will prove useful and valuable. JEE Main Physics Topics with Weightage Gravitation - 2% weightage Rotational Motion, Work Energy and Power, Kinetic Theory of Gases, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating currents, Experimental skills, Laws of Motion, Kinematics, Oscillations and Waves, Atoms and Nuclei - 3% weightage Physics and Measurement - 4% weightage Properties of Solids and Liquids, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Waves, Communication Systems - 5% weightage Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation - 6% weightage Current Electricity - 8% weightage Thermodynamics, Electrostatics - 9% weightage Optics- 10% weightage Electronic devices - 14% weightage JEE Main Mathematics Topics with Weightage Binomial theorem and its simple applications - 2% weightage Mathematical reasoning, Differential equations, Mathematical Induction - 3% weightage Trigonometry, Permutations, and combinations - 4% weightage Sets, Relations, and Functions, Sequence and series, Vector Algebra - 5% weightage Three Dimensional Geometry - 6% weightage Complex numbers and quadratic equations, Matrices and Determinants - 7% weightage Statistics and Probability - 8% weightage Integral Calculus - 9% weightage Limit, continuity, and differentiability - 10% weightage Coordinate geometry - 15% weightage JEE Main Chemistry Topics with Weightage Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, S - Block Elements Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metals - 1% weightage Organic Compounds containing Halogens, General Principle and process of Isolation of metals - 2% weightage States of Matter, Atomic Structure, Chemical kinetics, Classification of Elements and Periodic table, Hydrogen, Environmental Chemistry, Purification and Characterization of Organic Compounds -s, Some Basic Principles of Organic Chemistry, Hydrocarbons, Polymers, Biomolecules, Principles Related to Practical Chemistry - 3% weightage

To help students out in their JEE Main preparation, find below some of the useful preparation tips that will give students an edge in their preparation and will ease their preparation a bit. Seek Support and Assistance of Expert – Despite putting in hard work and being extremely talented most of the students fail to quality JEE and the prime reason behind their failure is the lack of proper guidance and support. Students’ effort and hard work need to be guided by professionals who have years of experience in training students to the best of their ability. This is where coaching institutes like FIITJEE prove an ideal mentor and guide for the students. Follow a Strict Timetable – Students after gaining an understanding of the JEE Main syllabus and all the topics from the three subjects should make a timetable and study exactly according to it. They need to equally focus on all the three subjects and hence devote equal time for the preparation of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Gain Good Understanding of the Exam Pattern – Knowing the exam pattern before the exam will help students to prepare according to the exam pattern. Students should make a list of all the important topics that are generally asked in the exam and should well prepare those topics to score good marks. Follow Good Study Materials – Good study materials will definitely give an edge to the students’ preparations. To improve their chance of cracking JEE Main, students need to study from well-researched study materials that are carefully prepared by expert teachers and faculty. Serious JEE aspirants who are eyeing good marks in Main should study from FIITJEE study materials that are brilliantly prepared exactly after extensively studying the Main exam pattern. Attempt Mock Test – Students enrolled in a coaching institute like FIITJEE will get the opportunity to appear in several mock tests that will acquaint them with the real exam scenario. This will also enhance students’ problem-solving and time management skills and will also expose them and make them familiar with the exam environment and temperament. Stay Focused and Follow One Source - JEE aspirants should stick to one source and should not refer to multiple books and study materials available in the market. Students should remain focused throughout the preparation period with a positive attitude to study with absolute concentration.
