Know the Right Ingredients of NEET 2022 Exam NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is known to be the toughest medical entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to undergraduate MBBS, BDS, and Ayush Courses every year. The Government of India has made it mandatory for students to qualify NEET to study medical courses in India and abroad. NEET is the only examination that is held to fill about 54,000 medical seats across the country and is also valid for filling the private college seats across the country. Medical Council of India has listed a total of 355 MBBS and 300 Dental colleges that fall under the aegis of NEET 2019. NEET exam consists of one paper having 180 objective-type questions asked from the subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. It is a three-hour duration examination having a total of 720 marks. The minimum age of the candidates to appear for this entrance examination is 17 years and the maximum age is 25 years. According to data, around 14, 10,800 students applied for the NEET exam in 2021, and only 7, 87,042 students got selected for the qualifying stage. Students who have either cleared class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognised board or who are appearing for class 12th or equivalent in the current year can apply for NEET. Candidates who have cleared class 12th or equivalent from an open school are also eligible to appear for the NEET. NEET exam questions are asked from subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. The question paper is divided into two sections, Section A and Section B. Section A consists of 35 questions from each of the four subjects and Section B consists of 15 questions from each subject. Students are provided with question choice in Section B in which they are supposed to attempt 10 questions out of 15. Students are awarded +4 marks for the correct answer and -1 is deducted for each incorrect answer. The exam is conducted in the offline mode i.e. it is a pen and paper test and is of 3 hours duration. The NEET exam is conducted in 13 languages such as English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
