  1. KUSADASI ENGELLILER KOYU (VILLAGE FOR DISABLED) Founded in 1995 by the parents of some disabled children in the town with the financing of Kusadasi Rotary Club and local non-governmental organizations. Still financed by Rotary and Lions Clubs, Non governmental Organizations, Anglo-Turkish Club in Kusadasi and Kusadasi’s twin town Mar in Germany. Has been working efficiently for the mentally and physically disabled locals for the last 16 years. Totally free for students The main target of education is productivity, integration and self sufficiency of the disabled students. Education given by 30 volunteer teachers. 14 of these teachers are from different countries (English, Irish, Dutch, German, Japanese) and 16 are locals. Volunteer doctor on site everyday. No physical therapy provided but massage is provided for students. 76 students in total most of whom are mentally disabled, a few physically disabled students also attend some classes. Daily student number is about 30 . Acknowledged by most governmental and non governmental organizations also by most European communities.

No level or age groups, students are trained altogether in all the education fields. • Not a governmental institution but still subject to the inspection of the local governor. • There is a board of directors within the organization but the main management is carried out together with the teachers. • Most of the students are over 18 as they have been taking education in the village for the last 16 years.
