  2. Project Idea • Smart Power Management System to monitor power consumption of home-appliances remotely • Smart Power Strip to control/monitor the power usage of devices plugged into it • Wireless Communication to turn appliances on/off • Wireless monitoring of household power consumption

  3. Project Specific Success Criteria • An ability to detect on/off status of devices • An ability to turn devices on/off remotely • An ability to communicate with remote server • An ability to monitor power consumption of devices over time • An ability to set up intelligent power plans
