Q- & Costdriver-influence : • Visit to doctor,just one visit during wirking hours will cost more to the company than the annual cost of deduction • Increasing the yield at just 1% will pay the magnifier itself --higher increase is higher profit! • Cost of reclamation, just one unnecessary reclamation - inhouse or at the customer - will cost more than the annual cost of the magnifier! Plus hidden costdrivers are found mainly in unnecessary internal rework as well as lower inspection yield after 3-4 hours using insufficient equipment speeding up fatigue of operator 1.000 - 50.000 € / a • Motivation of employees, .......... • practical use,... to assure higher yields

Conclusium: • Employees are expensive • failures are expensive • Not recognized failures are even more expensive • Comparingly to these cost a good magnifier is cheap • Not using magnifiers will not increase the yield of inspection Fazit: • If size and quality of a lens and its illumination will not be sufficient - easily a lower inspection yield can be monitored, resulting therefore in higher production cost/piece. Often followed by eyepain, pending eyedamage or lung damage for the operator when soldering under a lens
