Outline • The value of Ncol used for one spatial stream in the 32FFT interleaver was accepted in contribution 11-12-0113-00-00ah-32FFT-Interleaver.pptx • In this contribution we provide simulation results for determining the value of Nrotused for MIMO spatial multiplexing • Recall Nrot is a third frequency permutation applied on the second to fourth spatial streams Ron Porat, Broadcom Slide 4
Simulation Assumptions • 5000 channel realizations • 256byte packet, ideal receiver, 2x2 with 2 spatial streams and 4x4 with 4 spatial streams configurations • Nrot=1:13 • Ncol=8 • 2 channel models • SCM Urban Micro, SCM Urban Macro Ron Porat, Broadcom Slide 5
MCS3 • Aside from Nrot=3,6,9,12 all options are close Ron Porat, Broadcom Slide 6
Cont. (4x4) • Most options are close Ron Porat, Broadcom Slide 7
MCS5 • Aside from Nrot=3,6,9,12 all options are close Ron Porat, Broadcom Slide 8
MCS7 • Gaps between good Nrot values and bad are larger in this case. • Nrot=2 best option Ron Porat, Broadcom Slide 9
Conclusions • Several values possible, Nrot=2 is the best choice for the important case of MCS7 enabling spatial multiplexing at high SNR Ron Porat, Broadcom Slide 10
Straw Poll • Do you support Nrot=2 as the 32FFT interleaverthird permutation choice? • Yes • No • ABS Ron Porat, Broadcom Slide 11
