  2. His Major Works • 1947 his first play is published, “All My Sons.” • 1949 his most successful play “Death of A Salesman” is published • 1950 “The Crucible” is written modelled after the Salem Witch hunt A link to his full career and personal timeline.

  4. Death of a Salesman Certain Private Conversations in Two Acts and a Requiem • Willy Loman is a travelling salesman who is tired of being on the road • Drama ensues with his sons and job • The play is filled with flashbacks • Themes of dreams and denial

  5. The Crucible • Based on true events • Focuses on the trials in Salem during the Witch hunt • Examines guilt and pride • Deals with themes of intolerance and hysteria
