Non NOAA Satellite Status • NRT Products used in NOAA’s Warning and Forecast Programs • NRT Products used for Risk Reduction and Preparation for NPP/NPOESS/GOES-R data volumes and types • Data which meets NOAA requirements, but is not available from NOAA missions • Raw data received in NRT from cooperative Ground Stations • Products generated within 3 hours of observation; using S/W provided by mission/instrument operator • Products staged on ESPC file systems (DDS) for distribution
NASA EOS Missions • QuikSCAT • SeaWINDS • Terra • MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) • Aqua • AIRS (Atmospheric Infra-Red Sounder) • MODIS • AMSR-E (Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer – EOS) • Aura • KNMI (Dutch Met Inst) provides NCEP with OMI (Ozone Monitoring Instrument) data in NRT • NOAA working with JPL to initiate NRT processing of MLS (Microwave Limb Sounder) at ESPC • TRMM (processed by NASA) • TMI (TRMM Microwave Imager) • PR (Precipitation RADAR)
DoD/IPO Missions (from FNMOC for civilian uses) • WindSAT • Coriolis • DMSP • SSM/IS
European Missions • ERS-2 (vector data, limited to European direct downlink; limited US use) • AMI • ENVISAT (ocean color) • MERIS • METOP (processed at NSOF) • ASCAT (soon) • IASI (current)
Japanese Missions • GOSAT (Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite) • Launch in August 2008 • GPM (Global Precipitation Measurement mission) • Launch 2013 • DPR (Dual Frequency PR) • GMI (Advanced Microwave Radiometer) • GCOM – W (JAXA is looking at a NPOESS data exchange) • Launch 2010 • AMSR2 • Active Scatterometer (TBD) • GCOM- C • Launch 2011 • SGLI (VIIRS – like radiometer)
