Inception of Artificial Turf • Artificial grass or turf invented in 1960 by a team leaded by David Chaney, later they served as dean of North Carolina University college of textile with a team of research Triangle Park who created first notable artificial turf. • After that David Chaney declared sports illustrated as “man responsible for indoor major league and millions of welcome mats”. • After this they are commonly used in various commercial and residential places for landscaping.
