  5. Some of the things we do Buddies are around to help you, we do this in many ways here are some of the jobs buddies have: • Some people have set up a stationary shop at reception • Some people help new Year 7 and 8 pupils settle in and perhaps contact them before they start at school. • Act as tour guides for visitors • We all will go and visit primary schools with students thinking about joining Wardle academy. • We give talks on Anti-Bullying initiatives • Join in Community Assemblies • Help at Form Time when needed These are many of the responsibilities we have as buddies all to help you.

  6. An article written by our buddy Zayanya Gregory • In the autumn and winter term of 2013 the buddies where compressed to a small space to look after the Year 7’s but now we have a brand new building to help our new students! • In the old building the year 7’s lived in a small block called the Anderson suite, it was small and we were all together in the same block. The Buddies would be allocated roles on particular days, some would do Mondays and sell equipment to people who had lost their pens and pencils or maybe on a Wednesday some Buddies would hand out planner sheets to those without planners. It was hard back then it was hard to get around because of the new building sites, it was always dull and cold, but now 2014 promises us some new opportunities and fantastic facilities. So moving on to how the new building affects us! • Now that were here we have loads of new things on our hands. At the moment we have just been assigned roles, Keela Davidson, Evie Armstrong and Zayanya Gregory are on the newspaper. • Chloe Kirby it recording all the stationary sold. • Dylan jones is in charge or setting the rotors. • The rest of us have different existing roles or are waiting for a special role of their own. • So now that you’ve got a better idea of what we do and how existing it is here at Wardle Academy there is only one thing left to say. Thanks for reading!!! • By Zayanya G

  7. An article written by our buddy - Keela • There are lots of buddies around to help, no matter how bad the issue is, come and talk it through, we can help. • We will never complain, because we like to help out and especially Year 7s. • We do lots of jobs around and about, so don’t be afraid to stop us in our tracks to ask us questions or where to go in the building if you need something or are lost. • If you’re struggling to find a buddy and you don’t know who is a buddy and who is not, just look at our blazers because we have red badges on sayingBUDDY in nice and clear text. • We will have a table full of buddies for you at break-time in the Dining Room, so if your uncomfortable where you are or you don’t want to be alone you can come and sit with us, we will have a nice joke and chat. • If any day you run out of pens, pencils or rulers. Any pieces of stationery that you don’t have, our buddies will give you one for very reasonable prices at any time of the day, because we always have access to them. • Buddies run Pupil Reception at Break. • Some buddies might come to you in form time to see if you have everything you need - ask. You may be a Buddy next year! • We will always have a spare time table sheet just in case you don’t have yours. Because at the end of the day we just want to make your life better at school!!!

  8. THANK YOU • Thank you so much for listening to us we hope you have a lovely day!!!
