Thesis • In the late 1970’s a very brutal communist part, the Khmer Rouge, took over Cambodia and modeled itself after the North Vietnamese, they went fromvillage to village collecting child soldiers and killing their parents, Aki Ra was one of these orphaned soldiersandwas forced to lay landmines all over Cambodia.
