SPECIAL INFORMATION BULLETIN FOR ALL RELATIVE AND NON-RELATED EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBER CAREGIVERS • This special information bulletin has been prepared to alert all Relative and Non-Related Extended Family Member Caregivers of their responsibility to ensure the full safety and protection of all children placed in their home and under their care by the Department of Children and Family Services. • Health and Safety Regulations Title 22 require the criminal clearance of all persons age 18 and older as well as all youth age14 or older, if there has been a history or suspicion of criminal activity. • Any adult or adolescent required to register under Section 290 of the Penal Code, as a Registered Sex Offender, shall not reside in the home, shall not provide any form of child care or baby sitting, and shall not be in the presence of any child placed in your home by the Department of Children and Family Services.
