  4. CONSIDERACIONES SOBRE LA SALUD MENTAL Y ORGÁNICA DEL HOMBRE

  5. El hombre vive en un ambiente complejo donde son múltiples las variables capaces de inducirlo a recurrir a mecanismos de adaptación. Como no esta solo, sino integrado a la sociedad, los factores ambientales influyen en el individuo a través de la comunidad, la que a su vez constituye en si uno de esos factores (el social), que es el que más interviene en la salud tanto mental como orgánica del hombre.

  6. La vida social y su organización condicionan muchos de los problemas de la salud mental del hombre. La calidad de vida en los modernos asentamientos urbanos y el desarrollo de los adelantos científico-técnicos constituyen fenómenos para los cuales este segmento poblacional no esta preparado. Los medios de difusión masiva se convierten en una influencia, añadiendose además los factores culturales capaces de producir conflictos psicológicos en el individuo y engendrar o facilitar la aparición de enfermedades.

CARACTERIZACION DEL AREA DE SALUD EN EL CONSEJO POPULAR VEDADO-MALECON23 CONSULTORIOS MÉDICOS DISTRIBUIDOS EN 9 LOCALES POBLACION TOTAL: 14643 HABITANTES 3231 SON PERSONAS MAYORES DE 60 AÑOS, DE ELLAS 2038(63%) SON DEL SEXO FEMENINO Y 1193 (37%) DEL SEXO MASCULINO. ESTO CONSTITUYE EL 23,06% DE LA POBLACION TOTAL EN EL TERRITORIO.

Existe una considerable cantidad de establecimientos gastronómicos en el Consejo Popular incluyendo 3 instalaciones hoteleras que brindan entre otros servicios el de alimentación, mediante cafeterías y restaurantes. Una posibilidad de atención a las personas mayores de 6o años es la de vincular los Círculos de Abuelos a algunos de estos centros y desarrollar acciones periódicas que incentiven el sentido de pertenencia al barrio

  18. CONCLUSION Con un mancomunado esfuerzo de todas las entidades gubernamentales e instituciones culturales y científicas que se localizan geográficamente en el área que ocupa el Consejo Popular Vedado-Malecón, se podrá brindar la atención requerida a un grupo poblacional que demográficamente presenta una tendencia de crecimiento, y a su vez constituye una fuerza potencial para el desarrollo socio productivo y la identidad cultural de la comunidad.
