Involving you in future health services Last year we spoke to children and young people, their families or carers and local organisations about emotional health and wellbeing services in Gloucestershire. As a result we have a better understanding of • what works well across the county; • how we can improve current services; and • the challenges faced by patients and their families, staff and partners We have developed a new model of how we think services should work and we are now beginning to talk with a number of organisations who might be able to provide these services. Over the coming months we will continue to work with them to design services that are focused on the needs of children and young people with emotional and mental health difficulties and their families. A panel of approx 10 young people will work with us during this process and their input will help us to select one or more of these organisations to deliver these services across the county. You can follow our progress via the Healthy Young Minds Matter website - www.gloshealthyminds.nhs.uk
What you told us When we need help with emotional issues we should be able to get it quickly and easily Help should be available close to where we live I would like information about mental health services available on the internet I don’t always want to see someone about my problems in school How can you help us to keep our minds healthy – we want to know more about mental health Services have got to be confidential I want to choose where I meet with professionals to talk about my problems We want to help and support our friends when they are having problems We need to talk to someone we can trust We don’t like the name CAMHS A sample of the feedback received – more information is available on www.gloshealthyminds.nhs.uk
