  15. iPad: what is to come • To be released in April 2010 • If people see the iPad as an extra device to carry around, it will likely have limited appeal. • If they see it as a convenient replacement for bulkier computers, it could drastically change portable computing. • Web-surfing, email, social networking, video/photo viewing, gaming, music, basic content creation, note taking. • Will the iPad replace laptop computers?

  16. What is the iPad? • The iPad is an advance in making more-sophisticated computing possible via a simple touch interface on a slender, light and highly portable device. • Only time will tell if it’s a real challenger to the laptop
