Comparison of the Research Communications HDTV GaAs Preamps By G. L. Dybwad Albuquerque, NM USA gldybwad@comcast.net October 25, 2008
HDTV Viewing Conditions • I’m located in Albuquerque, NM, and the HD broadcast antennas are only 9 miles away, but my antenna view is completely blocked from line of sight by a granite ridge of the Sandia Mountains as shown. • This comparison data should be added to my previous data report of April 17, 2007. • I use an AntennasDirect DB8 antenna and Belded RG11 low loss coax cable to the F-connector on my Dish 722 DVR satellite receiver. The only thing changed was the two preamp models located in the weather box mounted below the antenna.
