  4. Where a Leech Lives Leeches like to live in very still , quiet bodies of freshwater like ponds, small lakes , and slow moving rivers. Land leeches like wet rain forests . They can be found in low bushes or damp , rotting leaves. Some regular forests , near fresh springs or muddy grounds.
