Strategic Communications Plan • Plan establishes framework for joint communications activities • FGDC/GOS/TNM coordinate activities and provide the lead • Seek active involvement and participation of FGDC member agencies and organizations
Strategic Communications Plan • Focus on benefits of collaboration to support decision-making, to leverage resources, to minimize redundancies and ways to share data and information • Encourage shared responsibilities among all of us to achieve our common goal of assuring access to reliable geospatial information
Strategic Communications Plan • Collaborative, pro-active approach with federal, state, tribal, local government, academic and private sector to develop, support and implement a National Strategy for Geospatial Information • Intended as a living document • Work with other Future Directions action teams to implement their work plans
