Subcommittee: Metrics • Finishing up work on metrics for measuring progress of the Academic Plan • Baseline data has been collected along with year 1 progress • Interfacing with the work of RI Board of Governors for Higher Education: Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Innovation Committee • The Key Indicators (metrics) progress - found at: http://www.uri.edu/provost/planning/planningadditionalinfo.html

  6. Subcommittee: Task Force • Appointed Assistant to the Provost for Global Strategies and Partnerships as a one-year, soft-money position • Faculty Resource- New Director of Learning, Assessment and Online Education – hired • This subcommittee, since it has finished with the first round of task force reports, is transitioning its focus to Interdisciplinary Issues, based on the work of the Interdisciplinary Task Force • Academic advising work

  7. Subcommittee: NEASC • 5 Year Report underway -http://www.uri.edu/accreditation/ • Draft due by 15 May 2012 • APRC – Administering Academic Program Review (as part of NEASC standards/expectations) – online in March 2012

  8. 4th Annual Academic Summit • Continued Focus on Academic Plan Themes • Developed by a joint group from JCAP and the Faculty Senate • Held on 20 January 2012 • Addressed Interdisciplinarity and Cluster Hires • Produced new suggestions for cluster topics from the general faculty • Website with All Summit Archives: http://www.uri.edu/provost/academic_summit_2012.html
