Traditional Lunch Menu USDA Age/grade groups K- 3; 4-12**, 7-12 ** can be used for all 2 different fruit/vegetable = ¾ cup 1 Bread/Grain daily 8 per week for K-3 & 4-12 10 per week for 7-12 1 -2 Meat/Meat Alternates* 10 per 5 day week offered 8 oz Fluid Milk
1 Meat/Meat Alternate You may offer 1 M/MA per day to = 10 for a 5 day week* This takes into account that some days you may offer more than 2 M/MA If you use this, you must check the 1oz. meat/meat alternate box on your production record all the time
“Offer vs. Serve” Lunch Required @ High Schools Requires school board approval for K-8 Students may decline up to 2 components 3 out of 5
