  7. On behalf of the District 17 Board, I wish to thank all : Our members Club presidents Area directors District committee chairs & vice chairs For your tremendous contributions to the district’s fantastic results

  8. Service • Total contributions of 80 clubs to service projects US$1,067,955.- • 22 out of 78 clubs applied for Centennial Anniversary Grants, 9 clubs are grant of US5,000.- from Zonta International to build stronger service projects in local communities through partner organizations

  11. Districtwide car stickers campaign ZC of Ilocos Norte ZC of Aparri ZC of Tacloban

  12. Advocacy in Action • ZC Cebu 1 jointly with GMA and UG Senior High School in 16 Days of Activism. High attendance rate, TV interview on Area 3 Directors on Say No to child marriage. • ZC of Ilocos Norte on their Say NO to Child Marriage and Teenage Pregnancies Campaign. Effort is pushed to Parents – Say NO to Child Marriages • ZC of Hong Kong East expand to a month long road shows in shopping malls and host seminars to promote visibility of this advocacy initiative.

  14. Education Active nominations by clubs on quality candidates • YWPA International winner Breanna Quvan Ng nominated by Zonta Club of Hong Kong • JMK Women in Business received 12 nominations. Stephanie Chou nominated by Zonta Club of Victoria is in the ZI contest • WIT – received 16 nominations and under assessments by district panel

  15. District – Membership Growth 40 of them are young professionals

  16. Z & Golden Z Clubs by Country/Region D17 is 31 % of 380 Z & Golden Z clubs on global basis

  17. 4 New Clubs chartered and 2 new clubs in pipeline

  18. 8 New Golden Z Clubs

  19. 11 New Z Clubs

  20. Contributions by D17 to ZIF As of August 2019: • Individuals contributions $173,405.- • Club contributions $ 18,342.- • Endowment $114,174.- Total District 17 contributions to ZIF US$305,922.- Donations grew 40% from same period last year. Donation drives continues. Please register your donations at ZIF counter here.

  21. Centennial Anniversary Activities All the clubs plan and embark in Centennial celebrations with events tie with :

  22. 9 out of 22 Centennial Anniversary Grant Applications awarded with US$5,000.- for partnership with Non-Profit partners

  24. Congratulations to the winners of Centennial Anniversary District Award and Country Awards!!! Congratulations to the Nominating Clubs!!!

Leadership Development Through Training & Education Why is it so important? • Training and development needs new clubs and young members • Key role in mindset alignments • Knowledge builds commitments and passion We are encouraged with many clubs pay more attention to training and development of club officers. Area Directors invite Leadership training officers to conduct workshops and seminars

  26. Work Remains to be Done – due to challenging environment in a disruptive world – This is the new normal
