How Long Does it Take to Complete a Forklift Training Course? At RS Forklifts Training it can take up three to four days to complete a basic novice forklift training course depending on the ratio of the candidates. The typical beginner’s forklift training in Birmingham is five days long which covers all the topics needed to become RTITB qualified forklift operator. The ideal ratio of trainees to instructor is 3:1. This is very important so that each student can receive the focus and attention of the forklift trainer to gain the required level of knowledge and competency. RS Forklifts Training centres are happy to accept a fewer number of applicants. If the class is composed of just two students, it will only take them four days to complete the course. The fewer the number of students, the faster the course can be completed. We do not recommend you to enroll in a class with a large number of trainees. You will not receive enough attention and could affect the way how you receive the learning.
