Law of Conservation of Matter Lab PICK A SET OF LAB SUPPLIES • Make your own lab using: • Baking Soda • Vinegar • Flask • Balloon • Electronic Scale • Make your own lab using: • Baking Soda • Vinegar • Pippett • Plastic Lunch Bag • Electronic Scale On back of lab sheet make a FLOW MAP of your procedure. This MUST be down before you can get your lab supplies.
Phrases to use in flow-map • Initial mass • Final mass • Put baking soda into balloon. • Put vinegar into the flask. • Do NOT let the reaction occur. • Mix baking soda and the vinegar. • Allow the reaction to occur. • Do not take off the balloon. • Attach the balloon to the flask. • Find the difference in mass.
