2. “We Have To Pass The Bill To Know What’s In It” • Would you buy a car without seeing it, without knowing the cost, without knowing anything about the car? • Would you buy a house without seeing the house, knowing if the house is the right home for you and your family or knowing how much that house will cost? • Would you invest in a business without knowing if it would offer a good return for your money and time? • We are entering into a process without knowing how the promises made will be accomplished, how much they will cost, the cost benefit and return on our investment, the impact on our current way of life, the sacrifices that will have to be made to support fake science? The only thing man made about what is happening to our environment is the man made crisis they have made up to make us tow the line.

What IS Sustainable Development? • The term “Sustainable Development” was first coined in the 1987 Brundtland Commission from a publication created by the Commission called “Our Common Future.” The Brundtland Commission was chaired by Gro Harem Brundtland (Socialist Party Leader from Norway) • This publication became the foundation of UN Agenda 21 Sustainable Development. Along with the Wildlands Project and Biodiversity Assessment. • 1992 President George H. W. Bush committed the US to support UN Agenda 21 • 1993 President Clinton started the creation of The Presidents Council on Sustainable Development by EO to promote Agenda 21. • 2011 President Obama creates EO 13575 The White House Rural Council • The Brundtland Commission defines Sustainable Development this way: To meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

4. What Ties Agenda 21 to Local Sustainable Development • The 3 E’s of A21 are found in all sustainable development, comprehensive growth plans, smart growth plans in every state that has one. Equity (Social Justice instead of individual freedom) Economy (International redistribution of Americas wealth and resources. Replace free enterprise with government/business partnerships (PPP’s)Environment (nature before man - used as the crisis to change consumption patterns and mans behavior) • ICLEI - wrote Chapter 28 of A21 and the entire Local Agenda 21 Planning Guide. They were asked by the UN to implement UN Agenda 21 in local communities. Ref. Interview by Joan Veon “How ICLEI Was Created”. ICLEI is a UN sanctioned NGO with the responsibility to implement UN Agenda 21 at the local level • Chattanooga: was given an award in 1996 at the UN Habitat Conference in Istanbul for implementing the policies of Habitat (Human Settlements - Smart Growth Boundaries) Chattanooga/Hamilton Co pay dues and consulting fees to ICLEI • MD, Cookeville, TN (examples of SGB or UGB) • Memorandum of Understanding between the EPA and the UN Environment Programme • If we are not implementing UN Agenda 21 in America why does America produce a report to the UN on our progress with A21?

5. What Ties Agenda 21 to Local Sustainable Development • Federal Resgister/Vol. 63, No. 163/Monday, August 24, 1998/Notices states: “The Sustainable Development Challenge Grant program is also a step in implementing Agenda 21, the Global Plan of Action on Sustainable Development.” “Through the Sustainable Development Challenge Grant program, EPA also intends to further the vision and goals of the President’s Council on Sustainable Development (PCSD) created in 1993 by President Clinton.” • The Introduction to PCSD states: “To begin translating the vision of Agenda 21 into U.S action, • Santa Cruz, CA was the test site for Agenda 21 in the United States. Their growth plan is actually called Santa Cruz Local Agenda 21. • How come we don’t know about Local Agenda 21? J. Gary Lawrence, Planner Seattle, member of PCSD puts it this way: “In the case of U.S., our local authorities are engaged in planning processes consistent with LA21 but there is little interest in using the LA21 brand. Participating in a UN advocated planning process would very likely bring out many of the conspiracy-fixated groups and individuals in our society such as the NRA, citizen militias and some members of Congress. This segment of our society who fear ‘one-world government’ and a UN invasion of the US through which our individual freedom would be stripped away would actively work to defeat any elected official who joined the ‘conspiracy’ by undertaking LA21. So, we call our processes something else, such as comprehensive planning, growth management or smart growth.

6. OK…..So What’s So Bad About UN Agenda 21?Would you agree that in order to become a sustainable environment we must abolish what is considered to be “unsustainable”?

What Is Considered Unsustainable? • The UN Global Biodiversity Assessment Report has within its pages the following as being unsustainable and must be abolished in order to obtain sustainable development: • Private Property (75% of all land in the US to be returned to wildlands) Population Growth (reduce from 7B to 1B), Single Family Homes (Human Settlements inside Smart Growth Boundaries),Paved Roads (many cities, counties, states are not maintaining roads in rural areas), Irrigation, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Fossil Fuel,, Septic Systems, Fences, Dams, Paddocks, Large Hoofed Animals, Grazing, Fisheries, Logging Activities, Timber Harvesting, Ski Slopes, Golf Courses, Cemeteries. This is a partial list.

8. Sustainable Communities Regional Grant Program (68 pages) • Funding from this Program will support the development and implementation of Regional Plans for Sustainable Development (RPSD) that: Clearly defines a single, integrated plan for regional development….pg3 • Applicants for funding should carefully review the requirements described in the NOFA and HUD’s General Section…pg4 • Words like social equity, climate change, Livability Principles, Sustainable Development, Vehicle Miles Traveled etc are used throughout the document • In close coordination with the DOT, EPA, co-leaders with HUD in the Partnership for Sustainable Development pg. 6 • Foster the development of sustainable communities throughout the US that are consistent with the following Livability Principles. Sustainable Communities Regional Grant Program (68 pages) • In the “Partnership for Sustainable Development Report” - “Livability means being able to take your kids to school, go to work, see a Doctor, drop by the grocery or post office, go out to dinner and a movie, and play with your kids at the park, all without having to get into your car.” Sec. Ray LaHood US DOT • Expedite implementation of the Livability Principles through changes in local zoning, and land use laws and regulations that remove barriers to sustainable development. Pg 8 • A partnership agreement, MOA, or other proof of commitment to work together must be submitted with the application…… pg. 20 • 20% of total grant money will require matched leveraged resources pg 21 • Viable alternatives to automobile ownership pg. 24 • Methods to prevent undue damage, unwise use, or unwarranted consumption of natural resources. Sustainable Communities Regional Grant Program (68 pages) • Studies and research on the legal authority to explore revisions in state statutes or local government charters or regulations that govern or control local government operations so that the Regional Plan for Sustainable Development can be enabled, financed, and implemented. Pg 28 • How will the plan leverage critical regional assets to advance sustainable development? Pg 45 • Describe how the region plans to deal with residential and small business displacement that could result from infrastructure investments that will increase land costs and property value. Pg. 46 • Describe the specific steps that will be required to move from plan to action, including: changes to local zoning, building and energy codes, land use, financing, and development policies; pg 49 • MANDATORY Outcomes from the Creation of the Regional Plan for Sustainable Development: Reads like a welfare plan on steroids

11. How Will The Chattanooga Regional Plan Affect Polk County • The Southeastern Ecological Framework (EPA Document) and geocommons map website clearly demonstrates the plan for the land in Polk County • Zoning - New stringent regulations • Changes in land and water management • Regulation that will make farming and land ownership in the rural area impossible • Regionalization (single tax base, regional governance)

14. In Their Own Words • "Land...cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes...Public control of land use is therefore indispensable....” This quote is from the Preamble from the UN Policy on Land (Report of Habitat: UN Conference on Human Settlements)

15. How Can We Work Together to Preserve Our Freedom and our Property Rights? • Do not participate in any program funded by federal money. • Do not have anything to do with ICLEI or any community that supports ICLEI. If ICLEI is in your city/county cancel your membership ASAP and stop all policies implemented by them. • Establish a Property Rights Council to find free market solutions instead of accepting regulation • Educate yourself on what is happening in the world outside of your city/county/state • Work with your constituents as a team. We all have the same goals. We all want to preserve our freedom, our Constitution and our God which affords us the un-alienable right to individual freedom.
