Career Inventories • Strong Interest Inventory • This inventory is offered to help map out people’s individual interests and relate them to specific careers. • It has been the most widely used interest inventory for the last 80 years • It looks at interests, leisure activities, and values to help assess career interests • Myers-Briggs Type Indicator • This assessment helps assess one’s personality preferences. This information can be used for personal career development as well as to compare personality types to specific careers. As one can imagine certain personality traits are more prevalent in different occupations. • Most widely used inventory in the world • Used for Leadership and Development • Helpful for self awareness
