  11. Results • HYSPLIT 96 hour back-trajectories and current wind direction measured on the ship for 26 June • Every marker corresponds to one hour • Travel time for the air mass from the coast roughly 5 h

  12. Marine particle formation growth rates Average GR = 3.2 nm /h Additionally the following growth during evening/night from 22 -> 30 nm in Mace Head in 8 hours gives GR = 1 nm /h
