  3. CyberCAD Objectives • To allow collaborative design among designers in different locations • To integrate geographically dispersed operations

CYBERCAD - CAPABILITIES • CYBERCAD IS PLATFORM INDEPENDENT • INTERNET-READY • 3D MODELS CREATED CAN BE INSERTED INTO WEBSITES TO CREATE A 3D INTERACTIVE ENVIRONMENT • DYNAMIC AND FLEXIBLE DUE TO ITS OBJECT ORIENTED NATURE - MODULES CAN BE EASILY DEVELOPED TO THE CYBERCAD KERNEL - ITS CAD ENGINE.

Activity Report/Milestone • Presentation of IMan at the International Fair of Advanced Technologies, Kobe, 26-29 Oct 99 • MOU between Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Temasek Polytechnic on Project RESONATE (working with Education WG) signed on Nov 99; test via terrestrial link completed Jan 2000, awaiting satellite link for further test • Unicast broadcasting test between Seoul National University and TP completed in Dec 99 (working with Television WG) • Multicast broadcasting test target for May 99 • CyberCAD test between Indiana University and TP target for Mar 99 • CyberCAD test between SNU and TP target for Mar 99 • Exploring the possibility of a joint CyberCAD demo with IU, SNU and TP in iGRID 2000 in Apr • Demonstration of IMan in the Learning Metropolis as part of the Apec Education Ministers’ Meeting, Singapore, 7 to 11 Apr 2000 • IMan test via satellite between Universiti Sains Malaysia and Temasek Polytechnic target for May 99 • IMan test via satellite between Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand and TP target for Jun 99
