Announcements Creating Announcements
Announcements - General • Create an announcement in either “Build” or “Teach” tab • All students will see an announcement • No selection by specific students or groups of students • Specify start and end dates • Announcements can be presented as ‘pop-ups’ in addition to being permanently maintained under the “Announcements” link.
Create An Announcement Click on the Announcement link in the course tools column.
Create an Announcement Click on “Create Announcement”
Create an Announcement Enter Title Enter text of the announcement Scroll down for remaining settings
Select Announcement Options Select the recipients to receive the announcements
Select Announcement Options • Specify delivery dates: • When announcement will appear • When it will end Click here to have announcement ‘’pop up” when students enter the course
“Send” to publish announcement on selected date(s) Click on ‘send’ when all settings are completed. Note – There is no way to ‘edit’ an announcement after it has been sent (it CAN be deleted and reposted), so make sure you proof before clicking on send.
Announcements – “Build” Tab “Order” announcements using the ‘move’ feature
