Organizational Overview: EMCI • Engineering Management Certification International: a professional development initiative for engineering managers • A partnership of ASME, ASCE, AIChE, AIME, ASEM and SME. • A certification program that: • validates an engineer’s competence in engineering management; • is based on uniform, globally administered examinations that evaluate the engineering manager’s knowledge and skills in planning, organizing, allocating resources,directing and controlling technologicalactivities, budgeting, finance and marketing; and • confers certification via examination at two levels driven by work experience • EMCF = Engineering Management Certification Fundamentals • EMCP = Engineering Management Certification Professional
