  3. Ordinal • Data can be put in order from smallest to largest • There might not be an equal distance between scores • Example: Likert scale

  4. Interval • Data can be put in order • There is an equal distance between the scores • There is no true zero point- numbers can be negative • Example: Temperature

  5. Ratio • Data can be put in order • There is an equal distance between the scores • There is a true zero point- the scale can’t be negative • Example: weight, time
