My Interview with the Stampeders Lead Dog. By: Billy Joe What is like to be the Stampeders Lead Dog? Well, sometimes I like it, but sometimes I don't. I like it because they let be the leader of the group. I don't like it because I don't like to be in a bad group of people who steal things. Don't get me wrong I don't hate them I just don't like that they steal things from people. I enjoy going on adventures with them all over, but my paws freeze all the time. Talking to the Lead Dog of the Stampeders. By: Jessica Fambula Did you think that Walt would have made it to Dawson without you ? No, I didn't think that Walt was going to make it to Dawson without me. I didn't think he was going to make it because he had the wrong lead dog. When I saw him take the wrong one I wanted to say something, but I couldn’t. He had a dog that was usually in the back of the group. The dog that he had really doesn't know the calls that well either.
Talking to the Leader of the Stampeders Dogs By: Joey Grow What did you think when Walt stole all of the Dogs ? Well, at first I didn’t understand what he was doing. Then I saw he got into the sled and he was taking the dogs. I wanted to tell one of my owners, but I can’t talk. As he was going off I realized he wouldn’t make it far because he hadn’t taken me to lead his sled. Then my owners finally realized too and went after him.
Interviewing the Lead Dog of the Stampeders. By: Lisa Jones Which person is your favorite of the Stampeders ? My favorite has to be the Irishman. He is my favorite because he has funny accent. Also he can jump real high like he did when they were after Walt. I think he is very nice to me because he always gives me treats. He might seem mean, but he is really nice when you get to meet him.
Talking to the Head of the Stampeders Dogs. By: Riley Josie What is your favorite part of being with the Stampeders ? My favorite part of being with the Stampeders is that they let me lead the sled. I think leading the sled is fun because you get to see all of the beautiful area around you because you are not going to have all of the dogs in front of you. Also you feel like a colonel because everyone follows you.
The King Of Mazy May Questions for Loren Hall: By Patrick, Maria, and Dalton
Michael Jordan: • Michael: How did you feel when Walt found you walking to Dawson? • Loren Hall: Well, I felt very happy to see Walt come for me and go to Dawson with me to claim my gold. Shucks, I didn’t even know what to say when I saw him.
Michael Jordan: • Michael: How was the walk to Dawson with no shoes on? • Loren Hall: It was so horrible to do such a thing. I tried my best to run a little bit but it was harder than I thought. It felt like MY FEET WERE GOING TO FALL OFF!
LeBron James • LeBron: Was it hard work trying to find gold? • Loren Hall: Yes it was a bunch of hard work trying to find gold because I’m old and I don’t have shoes to wear.
LeBron James: • LeBron: Were you upset when you found out the stampeders were trying to steal your gold? • Loren Hall: When I found out about the stampeders trying to steal my gold, I was very upset. Wow, I thought I did all that work for nothing when I found out about it. Thanks to Walt, I felt a lot better.
LeBron James: • LeBron: How did your feet get to be better? • Loren Hall: I rested for a week, I stayed warm, and I tried not to walk on my feet so much. It really stunk not to have shoes on for so long.

Question 3 When walt threw your lead dog really far what happened?
Answer to question 3 I lost control and hit a tree, so my sleigh broke to pieces but luckily my friends were right behind me so i took their sled while i kept chasing that kid.

Answer to question 5 Yes Lorean Hall did get his claim. When I did find out that he claimed his claim I was mad because one sled got destroyed and, one dog was killed.
Klondike Gazette Interviewer: Ryan Rose Interviewing: walt masters
How did you know when to jump off the sled to keep warm? • My dad had taught me when I was younger. He said it would help me later to know how to keep warm while sledding. It certainly has.
How did you feel when the stampeders were right beside you? • For once, I was actually scared. I wasn’t sure if the last thing I was doing in my life was saving Loren Hall and all the hard work he had done. I was proud of myself for doing the right thing. But the big Irish man did freak me out.
What were you feeling when your lead sled dog got hurt? • I was worried about how we were going to get to Loren Hall without our lead dog. We had made it all that way with being safe. I was just hoping that the dog would just shake it off and we could get back on track.
Why did you protect Loren Halls claim? • I promised. You can never break a promise. It was the right thing to do. Plus it isn’t right for some lazy stampeder to take advantage of all the work Hall had done. Loren was an old man and I knew he didn’t have sled dogs to travel any faster.
Walt, why didn’t you stop when you were being shot at by the stampeders? • Well I believe, old Loren Hall did all the work. I didn’t stop because I knew he would do the same thing for me. I just went with my instinct, to keep going.
Interviewing : Walt’s Dad Interviewer : Gary Sanders Presented by: Peyton, Jennifer, Kayla
1. Do you think Walt’s mother’s death effects him in the Klondike? Walt’s Dad- I don’t think it effects him because he never really mentioned it in the Klondike. 2.Do you think Walt had time to find the right dog? Walt’s Dad- I don’t think he had enough time to pick the right dog or else he would’ve gotten caught.
3.Do you think Walt gets his bravery from you? Walt’s Dad-I think Walt does get his bravery from me because he would do anything to help the right person. 4.Should Walt have left the dying dog behind? Walt’s Dad-He made the right decision because the dying lead dog would’ve slowed him down.
5.What do you think of the Stampeders? Walt’s Dad-I think that they are cheaters because they do nothing and still get gold. That’s what we got out of Walt’s Dad.
