Overall FY 2020 Budget • Total increased state funds for K-12 - $471.1 million • Education Trust Fund $261.1 million • ETF Advancement and Technology Fund $200 million • Public School Fund (Capital Purchase) $10 million • Total Foundation Program increased $182.7 million • 4 % Pay Raise
Other Foundation Items • Certified Salaries and Benefits allocation up $138.5 million • Other Current Expense increased $49.9 million which exceeds cost of covered raises • Transportation Operations increased $21.3 million • School Bus Fleet Renewal allocation increased from $6,344/bus (2018) to $7,109/bus (2019) to $8,326/bus (2020) - total gain of $6.5 million
Library Enhancement Fund • $6 million appropriation • Not intended to be continuing line item • Distributed on per pupil basis • Intended Uses • Modernize and update library collections (bound and electronic) • Library materials and supplies • Technology including hardware, research resources, and software

Early Childhood Classroom Assessment • New line item for FY 2020 - $2.75 million • K-3 real-time assessment of literacy and math skill levels of students • ALSDE to issue RFP
ETF Advancement and Technology Fund • Supplemental Appropriation - $200 million • Source – Excess FY18 ETF Receipts above appropriation and required deposit to Budget Stabilization Fund • Allowable uses include nonrecurring expenses - • Facility repairs or deferred maintenance • Classroom instructional support • Insuring facilities • Transportation • School security measures • Purchase of education technology and equipment
