  4. High Court • High Court is together with the Court of Appeal and Crown Court • Most proceedings heard by a single judge • Litigants normally represented by Counsel • High Court hears Criminal and Civil cases

  5. High Court • High Court Judges appointed by the Queen on recommendation of the Judicial Appointment commission form from qualified lawyers • Judges may be removed by retirement age requiring approval of both Houses of Parliament
