  2. We write friendly letters to people we know well. We might write a friendly letter to our parents, grandparents, or our friends.

  3. 68 Thermos Ave Norwich, CT September 2, 2010 Dear Mrs. Theriault, How was your summer? I hope it was fun. I know mine was. I am a little nervous about being in your class. I heard you were mean and scary and that you like to tie children to their chairs when they don’t listen. Is that true? I hope we have a nice class this year and that nobody picks on me. I want to have more friends. You’re probably wondering about me too. Well, I’m going to be 11 years old soon. I can’t wait! I hope I get purple unicorn for my birthday. I’ve always wanted to ride one and I hear that unicorns will do your homework for you. I could definitely use that. I really don’t like homework because it’s hard for me to do at home. My younger brother always bugs me and I can’t concentrate. Plus I don’t really have anyone to help me, especially with math. I think it’s confusing, but so do my parents. Do you have any suggestions? body Your friend, Bea B.
