  4. 亚那 (23/22 BC - 66 AD) 大希律之子亚基老在6 AD被罗马政府剥夺王位之后，犹太成为罗马的一省。亚那为犹太设省之后，罗马政府所任命的首任大祭司 (6-15 AD)。十年后，亚那 (36岁) 因执行罗马政府所未授权的死刑，被解除职务，但他五个儿子和女婿该亚法相继担任傀儡大祭司，受他幕后指挥。直到66 AD，犹太发生叛乱，他因主张和罗马政府媾和，而被刺身亡。 路加福音16章财主和拉撒路的比喻，财主有可能是暗指锦衣玉食的该亚法，他的父家就是亚那家，五个兄弟就是亚那的五个儿子。后来马大、马利亚的兄弟拉撒路从死里复活，这帮人不仅不信，还打算杀了拉撒路 (约12:10)。

  5. 该亚法：18-36 AD担任大祭司，主张杀害耶稣， 后来定耶稣的罪，也威胁彼得和约翰不得传道。
