  3. Before the Service Meeting What should I bring to the service meeting? • Notebook/laptop • Literature order • Donation • Group/area report • Event flyers/.pdf

  4. Before the Service Meeting Who Should I bring? • GSRA/RCMA • Sponsor • Sponsees • Newcomers • Friends • ALL interested members

  5. During the Service Meeting When should I show up? • Attend each service meeting • Arrive on-time orearly • Stay for the entire meeting

  6. During the Service Meeting What if I can’t come? FIND A REPLACEMENT and submit your report

  7. During the Service Meeting What Should I Take Notes on? • Group needs • Committee meetings (date/time/place) • Motions • Elections/ open positions (requirements) • Events!! Get flyers &/or .pdf’s • Get meeting lists

  8. During the Service Meeting Who Should I Talk To? • EVERYONE! • Ask for phone numbers and email addresses from new and experienced members

  9. After the Service Meeting Do I really have to give a report at every meeting? Yes! 

  10. After the Service Meeting How can I give a great report? • Enthusiastically relay more details the first meeting following area • Highlight events and committee meetings throughout the month

  11. After the Service Meeting How can I keep my group/area informed? • KEEP YOUR MEETING INFORMATION CURRENT • Actively view/participate in on-line discussion boards, NA websites and email groups • Keep current contact information for trusted servants

  12. After The Service Meeting What more can I do? Visit various committee meetings

  13. Attracting Members to Service What are things we say that make service meetings unattractive? Share worst practices

  14. Attracting Members to Service How Can we avoid overwhelming interested members? • Offer resource materials: flyers, pamphlets, newcomer packets, etc. • Mentor them into service

  15. Attracting Members to Service How do we make it fun? • Road trips • Fellowship • Food • The more, the merrier • Hype it up!

  16. Attracting Members to Service How can we remove obstacles for members to serve? • Give rides • Welcome new members to participate in discussion • Get members plugged into appropriate service for their clean time
