  1. One of the world’s greatest winemakers, Michel Chapoutier tirelessly perfects the art of winemaking through truly terroir based wines. • Michel Chapoutier a visionary and pioneer in biodynamic winemaking, his restless energy and unconditional commitment to quality have produced tremendous success, with the most 90+ point ratings of all Rhône producers and 15 “100 point” rated wines. • Banyuls appellation overhangs the Mediterranean Sea. More than two thousand years old, the vineyards are still hand-worked, and are rooted in a stony schist soil. M Chapoutier Banyuls is a "vin doux naturels", fortified wine that is exceptional and age-worthy. It is naturally sweet, shows full fruit and wonderful character and is universally perfect with fruit and/or chocolate desserts. BANYULS 2009 Variety: 90% Grenache Noir, 10% others Color: Deep garnet Aroma: A touch of dry fruit, crystallized orange and pepper Taste: Intense flavors of chocolate and dried plum Fermentation: Grapes are hand picked very ripe. They are destemmed and crushed. A long fermentation adding pure alcohol ensures a good extraction of the aromas and tannins Aging: In oak casks and steel vats from 18 to 36 months depending on vintages 90points 6.1.11 www.chapoutier.comwww.terlatowines.com
