Telephoning/Cold Call • Calling a business to see if jobs are available • Prior to the call you should • Get information about the company • Write down what you are going to say • Ask to speak to a manager or Human Resources personnel • Identify yourself and your reason for calling • Ask if there are any job openings • Ask about available positions and how you can go about applying • If there are no openings ask if they know of future positions that might become available.
