  1. Operation Shimmer Meeting an Immediate Need for DuBois Center

  2. DuBois Center has two pressing needs Replace the spillway pipe and repair the dam to the lake

  3. 2. Install air conditioning in Oak Lodge

  4. Operation Shimmer Operation Shimmer is a conference-wide effort to raise the necessary funds to pay for these repairs by the end of May, 2019

  5. The lake is the heart of camp Swim area last year Swim area this spring

  6. Source of the problem The spillway pipe has outlived its lifespan. Spillway Repair: $25,000-$30,000

  7. AC Installation in Oak Lodge More groups are expecting AC in the main gathering area at camp. Exhaust fans are minimally effective, and hard to talk over.

  8. AC Installation in Oak Lodge Estimate for AC installation: $30,000, less $10,000 in funds already received= $20,000

  9. Operation Shimmer Goal of $60,000, with $10,000 already received. Spillway is priority, with work done as soon as weather and lake level permit. AC Installation is second, with work completed by end of May.

  10. Operation Shimmer Asking every church in the conference to contribute something to meet this immediate need. Special fundraisers welcome!
