  1. Understanding the Causes of Damage in Radiators Automotive radiators prevent the engine from overheating. These radiators mainly help during long drives when the engine has to run non-stop for hours. Sometimes though, your car radiator may get damaged, and this causes a lot of problems. First of all, it let the engine get over-heated, which can cause your car to breakdown. Secondly, the engine may get damaged, and the cost of repair could be pretty high. Hence, if your radiator breaks down, please contact your car's radiator core manufacturer to request a quick replacement. But as we all know, prevention is better than cure, so it's a good idea to look at the possible causes of radiator damage and preventing them. Here they are: Rusting Car and truck radiators cool down the engine with the use of cold water. They hold this water inside and keep circulating it. The water acts as a coolant and absorbs heat from the engine, and radiates it away while some evaporate. Due to prolonged contact with water, the radiators' metal parts begin to rust, eventually breaking down. Breaking down can be prevented by regularly changing the water. Ensure that the radiator is cleaned when you take your car for servicing. You can also replace water with another adequate coolant. Inoperative Thermostat Car radiator manufacturers in India have a tiny thermostat placed in the radiator that helps regulate the temperature under the car hood. It does this by deciding the amount of coolant that travels to the engine area. A faulty thermostat can cause your car to overheat and break down or increase the coolant pressure to such a level that the radiator gets cracked. Just contact your radiator core supplier to get the thermostat replaced with one that isn't prone to damage, and your car will be fine.

  2. Gasket Leak The head gasket is used to seal off the coolant from the engine combustion process and prevent the fuel and coolant from mixing while entering the engine block. Sometimes the gasket can leak or get blocked, preventing the coolant from reaching the engine and leading to over-heating. You can try replacing your existing gasket with a sturdier one to prevent this from happening. Weather Condition The hot temperatures in summers can cause the radiator to overheat as well. Overheating can happen when the fluid has evaporated due to the heat. A simple solution given by the car radiator manufacturers is to check the volume of the coolant before every drive. Now that you know how to prevent your car radiator from getting damaged, you won't have to deal with burnout in the middle of the road ever again.
