Problem – Contingency Capability • In some special cases, the full VAR capability of a generator is needed for contingency conditions, not normal conditions. • In these cases, creating the conditions that would require the generator’s full VAR output would be dangerous. • The ISO and Satellites will intentionally not create such conditions.
