BELIEF: to expand frontiers creating Why BELIEF • Synergies and knowledge exchange between the research infrastructure competencies of Europe; • Collaborations between Europe’s e-infrastructure and those in emerging economies, Latin America in particular, and India. BELIEF Events • 2 International networking events with major potential user communities with focus on Industry; • 2 International conferences in India and Brazil as a platform to exchange experiences, to show results and to learn about the development in emerging economies; • 4 Brainstorming events on strategic multidisciplinary topics. Collaboration for Scientific Repositories The idea Europe-wide, or even world-wide, content repositories that will serve as infrastructure for scientific (even daily life?) activities across the continent and world. With Content-provision services offered at a large scale by charting a roadmap to establishing large-scale Knowledge Infrastructures: • Technical - large scale knowledge infrastructures; • Organisational – organizational model; • User-oriented – quality and ‘service’.
